Read Across Jamaica Day 2025

Read Across Jamaica Day 2025

Margaret Fuller once said, “today a reader, tomorrow a leader.” TransJamaican Highway Limited and JIO (referred to as TransJam Group) celebrated Read Across Jamaica Day on May 6, 2025, under the theme “Turning Pages, Shaping Our Future.”

This annual event promotes healthy reading habits and aims to foster a lifelong passion for reading among children cultivating a national culture that values literacy. We recognize the significance of this initiative in nurturing the minds of our younger generation and are proud to have been a part of it.

It was a privilege for our team to visit Portsmouth Basic School, Silverstone Basic School, Freetown Primary School, Waterford Infant School and Southborough Primary to participate in such a meaningful experience.

We are happy to help to empower Jamaica through literacy, one page at a time and we look forward to continuing our support of this exceptional cause.
